The 2nd annual Sidecar Rally dinner.

Saturday evening, Oct 27th 2007.  Big Jim's Restaurant in Sun Valley, CA. was where we held this years banquet.
This venue was so much better than last years and there was way more parking space.  The food selection,
preparation and presentation was also top notch. The service started out slow, but got better once everybody
sat down and settled in.  After the desert was served.
Perry King Called the evening to order.  Doug introduced the attending motorcycle hall of fame inductees.
They are Mike Parti, Ernie Aragon and of course Mr. Sidecar himself, Doug Bingham. Doug also recognized
many of the dinner guest as long time friends and notables in the motorcycling community.  Dick Symond
got up and professed his uncontrolled disease and pleaded for everybody's help. He then made available a
printed list containing a part of his personal inventory of bikes. Each selling for $2500.00.
I reached out for a copy of the list when I noticed "The Look" coming from my wife. No words were spoken, nor
were they necessary.  Next up was Scotty Hewitt,  I think Scotty told some really funny tales about his time as a
General manager for a Benz dealer. However Scotty speaks a different English then the rest of us. So next year
I will brush up on my Scottsman's English.  Dean Hummer of the famed Harley Hummer motorcycle was present.
Along with the crew that helps Doug do the LA Marathon.
A few story's and some tall tales were told that evening for the entertainment of all banquet guest. Good memories
and new friendships were made. The room was filled to capacity, and much laughter was heard throughout the
evening.  Judging by all the fun and camaraderie shared that evening. I think we should have a 3rd Annual Rally
banquet next year.   SCSC
